Bio
I am a passionate innovator and problem solver from Botswana, sub-Saharan Africa. I am a self-taught full stack developer and AI enthusiast with research interests in Automatic Speech Recognition, Speech Synthesis, Conversational AI, and Machine Learning applications. My research often falls at the intersections of Automatic Speech Recognition, Speech Synthesis, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI.
I am currently pursuing my PhD in Computer Science at the Technological University Dublin, Ireland, under the supervision of Dr. Robert Ross and Dr. Cathy Ennis. I have also worked with Professor Vukosi Marivate at the University of Pretoria on the NextVoices project as a Speech ML researcher focusing on African Languages. Before starting my PhD, I was the Head of Technology at Xavier Africa, where I worked as a Conversational AI architect and developed cross-platform projects for agency clients. I am also the founder of Anton Tech, which received the 2021 Botswana Innovation Fund to develop Agritech solutions in the finance sector. I graduated with First Class honors and as Valedictorian from both the University of Sunderland and Botswana Accountancy College in Computer Systems Engineering.
